Short Bio:

Mr. Jamal Uddin became the CEO & Managing Director of IDLC Finance in 2021. Prior to this, he was the DMD & Head of Business since 2015. He has over 25 years of experience in the banking sector. Mr. Uddin joined IDLC as a Management Trainee in 1994. Prior to his current role, he served as Head of Corporate Division since 2006, being responsible for the operations of the Corporate and structured Finance Department with a special focus on term financing and syndicated fund-raising for large local and multinational corporate houses of Bangladesh. He has done his BBA and MBA from International University (Karachi Campus), Missouri, USA.

Short Bio:

Asif Saad Bin Shams became the Additional Managing Director in 2025. Mr. Shams has over 25 years of experience in the banking sector. He started his career as a Probationary Officer at Eastern Bank Limited in 1996. Before joining IDLC, Mr. Shams served as Head of Policy & Risk Management at Standard Chartered Bank. Mr. Shams joined IDLC in 2009. He became Head of Credit and Collection in 2009 and became the DMD in 2021. He completed his Executive MBA from the University of Dhaka. He has an M.Com and B.Com from the University of Dhaka.

Short Bio:

Syed Javed Noor, previously serving as Deputy Managing Director from 2021, has been with IDLC Finance PLC. since 2001, contributing significantly across various divisions, including corporate and consumer banking. Mr. Noor has over 20 years of experience in the banking sector, serving Flagship banks like HSBC and SCB. His extensive experience has been instrumental in driving our organization forward. Having started his career at Southeast Bank Limited, Mr. Noor has held significant positions in IDLC, Standard Chartered Bank, and HSBC Bank. Mr. Noor has an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka, and a Master of Pharmacy from the University of Dhaka.

Short Bio:

Mr. Nurul Karim Patwery took over the role of the Head of Treasury in 2019. Mr. Nurul Karim Patwery started his career at IDLC in 2006 as Probationary Officer. During his career, he has worked in every wing of the treasury function at IDLC. Mr. Nurul Karim Patwery has over 15 years of industry experience in Treasury and Relationship Management with local and international counterparts over the passage of his career. Prior to taking over the role of Head of Treasury, he has served as ‘Head of Money Market Operations’ in the same organization. Mr. Nurul Karim Patwery completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting & Information Systems (AIS) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting & Information Systems (AIS) from the University of Dhaka.

Short Bio:

Mr. Md. Mezbaul Haque joined as the Managing Director of IDLC Securities Limited, effective from January 1, 2026. Mr. Haque brings with him a distinguished legacy of leadership, integrity, and service, shaped over more than three decades at Bangladesh Bank, where he most recently served as Executive Director. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening the country’s financial system, leading national payment system reforms, driving digital transformation, and overseeing critical regulatory and supervisory functions. His leadership is grounded in strong academic excellence. Mr. Haque holds an MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka, and a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Jahangirnagar University. This solid academic foundation, combined with his extensive practical experience, reflects his analytical depth, strategic thinking, and commitment to informed decision-making.

Short Bio:

Md Masud K Majumder joined IDLC on August 30, 2006, as Accounts and Taxation Department Manager. Before that, he worked as an audit supervisor at KPMG, Rahman Rahman Huq, and Chartered Accountants. Mr. Majumder completed his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and Masters in Finance from the University of Dhaka. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). Mr. Majumder is also a Director of IDLC Asset Management Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of IDLC Finance PLC.

Short Bio:

Mr. A H M Nazmul Hasan is a seasoned capital market professional with over 22 years of experience, having served at IDLC in various roles within Capital Market Operations for more than 14 years. Prior joining at IDLC SL, he was the Managing Director and CEO of BD Finance Securities Ltd. Mr. Nazmul holds an MBA from the University of Dhaka and a B.Sc from Delhi University

Short Bio:

Md. Momin Uddin has been serving as Deputy Head of Business since January 2024. He played a pivotal role in developing and launching the 'Premium Brokerage Product,' including an equity research service targeting both foreign and local institutions. He also significantly contributed to launching cross-business sales activity with the Consumer Division to expand our reach to retail and HNW individuals. Mr. Uddin brings over 17 years of experience in various capacities within the Brokerage Business. He joined IDLC Securities Limited in August 2006 as a Senior Associate. Throughout his tenure, he has held various positions in Finance & Administration, HR Operations, Business Development, and System & Process Development. Mr. Uddin holds an MBA in Finance from East West University.
